Chef Meaux

Chef Meaux is a native of Glynn, Louisiana, a small rural town 30 miles from the capital of Baton Rouge. She lives in Woodstock, Georgia with her son and daughter, ages 20 and 18.

”Chef Meaux,” as she was affectionately coined by her students at The Art Institute of Atlanta, attended Louisiana State University and Southern University, but proudly holds associate and
bachelor degrees in culinary arts from The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Atlanta, as well as a Master’s of Science in Management from Argosy University.

She worked at The Art Institute of Atlanta starting in 2002 – 2019 as a lead culinary instructor. Chef
Meaux facilitated select lecture classes, in addition to operating the student-run dining room,
Creations. She also returned to teaching in 2023, as the Culinary department chair of both the Atlanta and Virginia Beach campuses.
She has also owned and operated ChefCare, a personal chef and events business in the metro Atlanta area since 2001. She has cooked for private clients, done large audience cooking demos, provided “craft services” on movie sets, authored and food-styled twice on cookbook development for the National Cancer Institute and Morehouse School of Medicine, catered weddings and planned some fabulous events.

Chef Meaux checked restaurateur off her bucket list in 2019 when she opened her 50-seat chef driven Louisina inspired eatery called Eat at River Park. She has had her personal culinary career highlighted on the Food Network more than once.
