Knife Skills 1&2 Combined class July 14
Get all of your knife skills sharpened in one day! Learn the basics of knife design, what to look for when purchasing a knife, how to store them safely, how to handle them and the differences between honing and sharpening, slicing and dicing, and chopping and mincing. Share a delightful Salsa Fresca at the end of class.
One hour later, we’ll reconvene for the 2nd part of the class. This time we’ll be learning more specific knife cuts, working on cutting up whole chickens, and you’ll get to try your hand and sharpening your own blades. Bring a knife from home that you would like to sharpen.
We’ll share some chicken stir-fry at the end of class and make sure everyone has a newly sharpened blade to take home.
