Title: Intro to Home Mushroom Cultivation

Description: I am excited to offer a class at Sweet Selma Farms in Historic College Park on Sunday, February 17th at 3pm where we will explore the just how easy it is to grow delicious, gourmet mushrooms at your home (or apartment!)
Be ready to get a little dirty and do a little work! At the end of the class you will take home a small log that you will have inoculated with Shiitake mushrooms as well as your own homemade mini-Oyster kit.
Please note that mushrooms are living organisms and can be somewhat unpredictable – I cannot guarantee a harvest from what you take home. However, you will come away from the class with all the knowledge you need to do it on your own.
I am a long-time urban farmer and have been growing mushrooms for several years using the techniques I will teach in the class. I believe that life should be sustainable, affordable, and as easy as possible!
